Travel and discovery…
The science of geography is concerned with inter-relationships and covers a wide spectrum of interests since it integrates a variety of fields of study and activity. It involves people, the biosphere, and ecology in addition to the physical environment which includes the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere plus their various interfaces and interactions. It recognises that the general character of ethnic societies and of the areas they inhabit is a product of the interaction between people and their environment.
Monthly lectures attempt to address and illustrate many of these disparate but related areas of interest. These lectures are often by specialists in their fields and are generally well supported.
